Welcome back, K-drama Insiders! 💫
It’s time to catch up, and since I’ve been spending some time with family recently, we have plenty to cover from the past two weeks.
First up: what I’m watching!
This week, My Royal Nemesis is releasing Episodes 11 and 12. Are you watching along?
In between new episodes, I finished Green Mothers’ Club (2022). Set within the fiercely competitive world of an elite elementary school Green Mothers’ Club follows five mothers whose lives become increasingly intertwined through friendship, rivalry, and long-buried secrets. Beneath the polished exterior lies a thoughtful drama about parenting, ambition, and the pressures of modern society.
Now I’m onto A Time Called You, and I am hooked! This intricately woven time-travel romance follows a grieving woman whose fiancé has died. Somehow, she is pulled back to 1998, where she meets a student who looks exactly like him — but has a different name, a different life, and a mystery of his own.

Goblin Cast Reunites for 10th Anniversary Special
The beloved cast of Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, also known as Goblin, is reuniting for a special 10th anniversary trip — and yes, it looks emotional.
Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo In Na travel to Gangneung to revisit some of the drama’s most iconic filming locations, including Jumunjin Beach, where Kim Shin and Ji Eun Tak first met. The special also includes behind-the-scenes memories, meaningful props from the drama, and plenty of nostalgia for fans who still carry Goblin in their hearts.
The teaser hints at laughter, playful banter, and more than a few tears as the cast reflects on the drama’s lasting impact and the bond they shared while filming.
Guardian: The Lonely and Great God 10th Anniversary Trip premieres July 4 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
🎬 Could K-dramas Be Moving Toward More Seasons?
K-dramas are traditionally known for their tight, one-season storytelling, but SBS appears to be testing a shift toward more multi-season formats. According to The Korea Herald, the network is betting on series that can continue beyond a single season, while also exploring AI-assisted production tools to help manage rising production costs.
For international fans, this could be a big change. One of the things many viewers love about K-dramas is that most stories feel complete in 12 to 16 episodes. But as global demand grows, broadcasters may look for ways to extend successful titles while keeping budgets under control.
👉 Would you watch more multi-season K-dramas, or are you firmly on Team “One Season and End It Beautifully”?

🧠K-drama Word of the Week
뭐라고? (Mwo-ra-go?)
뭐라고? means “What did you say?” or “What was that?”
You’ll hear it often in K-dramas when a character is shocked, confused, offended, or just completely caught off guard by what someone else said.
Tone matters with this one. Said softly, it can mean “Sorry, what did you say?” But said sharply, 뭐라고? can sound more like, “Excuse me? What did you just say?”
Basically, it’s the perfect K-drama reaction phrase for surprise, disbelief, or a sudden plot twist.
